Sleep is an essential component of our physical and mental well-being, yet many of us struggle with getting adequate sleep. The problems associated with a lack of sleep include impaired cognitive function, increased risk of accidents, chronic diseases, and mood disturbances. The good news is that by sticking to a sleep schedule, creating a comfortable sleep environment, limiting screen time, avoiding caffeine and alcohol, engaging in relaxing activities before bed, and exercising regularly, we can improve the quality and quantity of our sleep.
